He married Lyda Ellen Jett "Liddie" daughter of John Marion Jett and Delilah Fern Norman on Mar 26 1893 in Roane County West Virginia. Lyda was born on Feb 5 1872 in Doddridge County, West Virginia. She died on Jan 22 1956 in Clio, Roane County West Virginia. Lyda "Jett" Drake, born February 5, 1872, and entered into rest on January 22, 1956, at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 7 days. She was born in Ritchie County, daughter of the late John and Delila Norman Jett. She was a member of the Hurricane Baptist Church and a member of the Harley Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are four sons, Ora, Gay, Orvile and Earl Drake, all of Clio; three daughters; Mrs. Delpa Burns and Mrs. Elsie Shafer of Clendenin and Mrs. Flotie Douglas of Belle; four brothers, Otha and George Jett of Clio, Garfield of Clendenin and Arley Jett of Detroit, Michigan; two half-brothers, Willie Jett of Parcoal and Cecil Jett of Clendenin; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Lewis of St. Albans and Mrs. Mary Butler of Charleton; twenty six grandchildren; forty five great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Her husband, Mr. Flemon E. Drake, entered into rest last Wednesday, January 18, 1956. Flemon and Lyda had the following children: Romey Clyde Drake was born on January 19, 1894. He died in 1920. Ora Waitman Drake was born on October 15, 1895, in Roane County West Virginia. He died on August 16, 1973. Ora married Attie Pearl Carper. Lonnie Gay Drake Sr was born on October 31, 1897, in Roane County West Virginia. He died on May 2, 1964. Lonnie married Edith Short. Delphie B. Drake was born on March 2, 1900, in Roane County West Virginia. She died on January 16, 1987. Delphie married Arlie Burns. Wordy Ford Drake was born in 1902 in Roane County West Virginia. Elsie Mae Drake was born on April 11, 1905. She died on Jul 30 1970. Orville R. Drake was born on October 26, 1908, in Roane County West Virginia. He died on January 19, 1993. Orville married Mamie Gandee. Flotie L. Drake was born on December 19, 1910, in Roane County West Virginia. She died on October 21, 1990. Flotie married Jacob Earl Douglas. Laura F. Drake was born on July 25, 1913, in Roane County West Virginia. Earl Drake was born on November 17, 1914, in Roane County West Virginia. He died in May 1979.
