Ann Drew was the daughter of Edward Drew and Frances Newitt, originally of Surry County, Virginia Colony [now United States].[1]
Her birth year and location is not known. As she was married with two children by 1745, it would have been before 1725. It is variously listed as 1697 or 1705 in unsourced family trees. This would be consistent with her parents marriage in 1685-1690 (but may be too early based on her father's will). As her parents lived in Virginia, she was likely born in Virginia.
Ann Drew married Benjamin Lane. This is noted in Ann's father's will.[2] The marriage has been estimated as about 1720-1725 in Virginia, consistent with birth around 1700, but no source has been identified for this. (Her father's will in 1745 suggests that he anticipated more children from Ann, which may imply a later marriage date than this.)
Edward Drew made a will November 24, 1745, probated March 8, 1749, in Southampton County, Virginia in which he names grandson Joseph Lane, granddaughter Faith Lane daughter of Benjamin Lane, and states: "My Will & Desire is that the next eldest children born of my daughter Ann Lain/ not knowing their names/ may have ..." [2]
They likely lived in North Carolina, based on various land deed records that identify Benjamin in North Carolina in 1725, 1728, 1757 and 1769.[3]
There is no identified record of Ann’s death. She died about 1769 according to some unsourced family trees. She probably died in North Carolina, where her family was living.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Ann by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Ann:
I don't think 1697 or 1721 are correct for her. Based on wording in father's will, she was apparently still bearing children in 1745 - which she probably wouldn't have been if born 1697 (and couldn't have been if dead in 1721).
If no objection, I'll change the dates to 1710 & after 1745, respectively.

Drew-2581 and Drew-1150 appear to represent the same person because: what am I missing? these look like the same person, yet they've been postponed saying more research is needed. What specific research is that? I've read the profiles & and don't see anything to say they aren't intended to be the same person except they're attached to duplicate profiles for Edward (which are again in a proposed merge) & have different death dates.
Drew-1150 and Drew-2581 do not represent the same person because: Again-not ready to be merged. Before Drew-2581 and Drew-1150 are merged, one needs to look at Drew-2582 and Drew-256 and look at Lane-7167 and Lane-1150. More research needs to be done prior to merge.
Again-not ready to be merged. Before Drew-2581 and Drew-1150 are merged, one needs to look at Drew-2582 and Drew-256 and look at Lane-7167 and Lane-1150. More research needs to be done prior to merge.
Drew-2581 and Drew-1150 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, daughter of same father, born same year, married same husband, both had daughter Faith Lane (married Whitehead and Bynum). Place of birth is not known nor sourced, but Virginia is more likely than NC. These are duplicate profiles (there is one other). They should all be merged into Drew-1150 and any uncertainties discussed in that profile.
Drew-2581 and Drew-1915 do not represent the same person because: These are same person and should be merged, but merge should be into Drew-1150 as the lowest number profile for Ann Drew.
Drew-1915 and Drew-1150 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, married same person. Born about same time/place. Small difference in profiles, but both are unsourced estimates as there is no record. There are three Ann Drew Lanes to be merged, this merge should be completed first to the lowest number.
Drew-2581 and Drew-1915 appear to represent the same person because: all information on -1915 are estimates with no primary sources to support. The only data we can use is the name and her husband's name
If no objection, I'll change the dates to 1710 & after 1745, respectively.
And unless I'm misreading the transcription of the will of Ann Drew's father, she was living in 1745 (when he wrote his will):
