His death certificate from the State of Maine shows death date as 31 Dec. 1909 with his age as 82 years, 4 months, and 12 days, which would make his birth date 18 August 1827. Death certificate also shows his occupation as farmer, cause of death as pneumonia, and previous address as Rochester, N.H. It is signed by a physician from East Rochester, NH.
