Biography
Elbert Alexander Ellis, b. 7 February 1795, d. 19 May 1868 in Cocke Co, TN, where he lived all of his adult life. He is buried in Joseph's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Cocke County. His birth and death dates are taken from his tombstone. He was married ca. 1819 to Temperance Driskill, daughter of Richard Driskill and Polly Hubbard Young.
