Hi Roger!

Thank you for adding a GEDCOM. The GEDCOM does not automatically populate your tree. It generates a GEDCOMpare report which you work through, either accepting or rejecting all suggested matches. Once that has been done, you should see [add] buttons for each of the remaining names.

The GEDCOMpare process guide has tips on how to use the data in your file most efficiently.

For those using Chrome or Opera browsers, there is a tool that can help with the formatting of profiles which have been created through GEDCOM, so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, log into WikiTree and go to your profile. Use the ‘Reply’ link below my comment. Alternatively, click my name to visit my profile. From there, you can leave a comment, or send a private message.

Have fun

Roger, you asked about Mary Rita Menard b:~1915. I do not have this Mary in my tree. My great grandfather Napoleon immigrated from Iberville, Canada to the Turners Falls and Fall River, MA areas. The family moved to Los Angeles, CA between the 1890 and 1900 census.
Interesting... I notice we're cousins and you work on the Astrum/Ostrom line. My grandmother (paternal side) is an Ostrom but this cousin relationship goes through my maternal side. Anyhow, hi cousin.

--Cynthia Update: Roger I checked and don't see any connection through my father so it does run through the Jensen line. If you use relationship finder tool you'll see how Jensen links.

Hi,

I noticed your new Club 100 badge.

Congratulations ?

Keep up the nice work.

Hi Roger,

Thank you for joining WikiTree. As a WikiTree Mentor I am available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may be having.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree :)
