Obituary

Mrs. Margaret Shrake, 65, died Tuesday morning at her home here after a long illness.

Mrs. Shrake, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Drugan, was born August 26, 1872, in the village of Trempealeau just a short distance from the place where she died. Her girlhood was spent here and November 28, 1896, she was married to Henry Shrake. Their life was spent on a little farm at the edge of town. There were six children, all of whom survive. They are Leon, Winona; Vincent and Henry, at home; Mrs. Frank (Edith) Plate, Winona; and Mrs. Lloyd (Margaret) Cowan and Mamie, Trempealeau. There are seven grandchildren and three brothers, Charles Drugan, Winona; Andrew Drugan, Whitehall, Wis., and Joseph Drugan of Trempealeau. Her husband died September 29, 1934.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Bartholomew church, the Rev. John Murphy officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. The rosary will be said at the Shrake home Thursday evening.
