Gladys was the daughter of Major-General Charles William Drury and Mary Louisa Henderson.
She married William Maxwell Aitken, the future Lord Beaverbrook, on January 29, 1906.[1][2] They had three children.
Baroness Beaverbrook died December 1, 1927, at Stornoway House, St. James, London, Middlesex, England.[3] The Lady Beaverbrook Residence at the University of New Brunswick, built in 1928 as a gift from Lord Beaverbrook, the university's chancellor, was named in her honour.[4]
