George Dryden attended Magdalen College, Oxford 1574-5; became a chorister 1573-1584; Bar-at-law, Middle Temple 1595 per Oxford University Alumni, 1500-1886, 1500-1714, Volume I, p. 427 (see https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/8942/images/RDUK1500_0004-0443)

According to that document George was 12 years old when he attended, making his birth date abt. 1563.

George Dryden married (as his second wife?) Katherine (Throckmorton) Harby, daughter of Clement Throckmorton and widow of Thomas Harby (who d. 3 May 1592) (see https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C3796247 and https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C5698362).

George died between 12 February, when he made his will, and 26 February 1602/03 when it was probated (https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D938094), probably at Adstone (it was his brother Thomas who went to Cornwall).

Katherine (Throckmorton) Harby Dryden married, third, John Wilmer (https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C5737769) and was buried 3 November 1621 in Haseley (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-DZP9-YTR).

See also History of the Wilmer Family together with some account of its Descendants.

Same as with Anthony, anyone wanting to take over this profile, just let me know. I take care of my elderly parents and only have time to work on the direct line.
