Biography

Margaret Duckett was baptised on 21 Sep 1591 at Calne, Wiltshire, daughter of Anne Duckett, widow ("21 Sep 1591 Margareta Duckett, filia Anna Duckett vidua [unclear word]")^[1].

Her father, Stephen Duckett esq, had died at either the end of April or early May in 1591. In his will he noted that his wife was with child and he made a provision of one thousand marks for the unborn child^[2].

Margaret was a beneficiary of the will of her brother, Lyonell Duckett esq of Calne, Wiltshire, his will made on 25 Nov 1609 and proved on 14 Dec 1609^[3].

In the Visitation of Wiltshire 1623^[4], Margaret Duckett was recorded as the 3rd daughter of Stephen Duckett and Anne Baskerville, the daughter and co-heir of Humphrey Baskerville, Alderman of London. Margaret was married to Walter Parker alias Sneath.
