Biography

William Duckworth married Grace[1]

In 1715 he served in the New Jersey militia under Captain George Carrick assigned to the 5th Company of Colonel Thomas Farmer’s New Jersey Militia Regiment.[2]

William died in 1727/8 in New Hanover, Burlington County, New Jersey.[3] The personal estate of William Duckworth, yeoman of New Hanover, Burlington County, New Jersey was appraised at a little over 88 pounds sterling, on 07 Mar 1727/8 by Asher Cleayton, John Wright and Jonathan Fowler.[3] On 15 Mar 1727/8 William Cook and Samuel Bickley gave bond as administrators of the Estate.[3]

In the May Term 1728 the County Court confirmed William Bowgar and William Dean. appointed by Grace Duckworth, widow, during her last illness, as guardians for Joseph Duckworth, Anna Duckworth and Mary Duckworth [1] These were under 14 years of age, as orphans who are over 14 choose their own guardians.

William Cook's accounting of the estate of William Duckworth on March 22, 1730 included charges for Sundrys furnished to the Widow in her last sickness, two coffins and digging two graves. [4][3]

On August 9, 1759, Grace Duckworth of Trenton, New Jersey, appears in a list of those with unclaimed letters remaining in the post office in Philadelphia.[5]

Duckworth-2069 and Duckworth-94 appear to represent the same person because: Please approve this merge of two profiles that represent the same individual.
