Jacques was born 13 Apr 1752 and was baptized the same day in St-Laurent-de-Montréal. He was the son of Joseph Dugas dit Labreche and Marie Amable Heriché. Godparents were Jacques Jar and Genevieve Barsalou, no signatures. [1]
On 28 Jun 1779, in St-Joachim-de-Pointe-Claire, Jacques Dugas son of Joseph Dugas dit Labreche and the late Marie Amable Richer Louveteau married Marie Rose La Fevre daughter of P. La Fevre and Marie Angelique Lalande. Witnesses included both fathers and the bride's maternal grandfather P. Lalande, no signatures. [2]
Jacques Duga, died suddenly at about 62 years of age. He was buried 24 Mar 1820 in Ste-Jeanne-de-Chantal, Île-Perrot, cemetery. DOD omitted, date of burial used as proxy. In attendance were his son Jacques Duga and his son in law Michel, no signatures. [3]
