Marguerite Olympe Dugas (Decuire) appears at age 14 in the 1850 census living with her parents, Desiré Dugas (a planter) & Amelie Broussard (Dugas) and 5 siblings: brothers St. Cyr, Desiré Jr, Octave and Antoine Oscar Dugas and sister Genevieive 'Clelie' Dugas.^[1]

She again appears in the 1860 Census with her husband, Alcide (Joseph Alcide Decuir 1827-1889) and 4 children. ^[2]

She passed away in 1862 at just 24 years old and left behind a widower and four young children. Her husband remarried.
