He married Almira Josephine Danforth, Apr. 8, 1812-Mar. 31, 1885. Their children were Thomas Dulin (1837 - 1907) and Bushrod Dulin (1840- 1872).
James was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Le Claire, Scott County, Iowa.
