Ellen (Dumbell) Anderson was born in Lancashire, England.

Ellen was born in 1847. She was the daughter of Peter Dumbell, and Hannah Mercer. Ellen Married John Adolph Anderson, a seaman, born in Sweden, in Liverpool, in 1868. The couple would have six children together between 1868, and 1879. Ellen passed away, in Liverpool, in 1888.
