She married, firstly, Sir William Seton of Seton, son of Sir John Seton of Seton and Katherine Sinclair.[1]

The Scots Peerage is inconsistent. It states that she is definitely not Janet Dunbar, daughter of George, Earl of March. However, it does agree that her surname may have been Dunbar.[4]
