Biography

Patrick (Dunbar) Dunbar Seventh Earl of Dunbar is a member of Clan Dunbar.

Patrick, born in 1213, was the son of Earl Patrick of Dunbar and Euphemia de Brus.^[1] He married (about 1241) Cecilia, a daughter of John fitz Robert of Warkworth and Ada Balliol.^[1][2] There were at least three sons from this marriage:

• Patrick Dunbar, earl of Dunbar and March^[2][3]
• John Dunbar, Knt.^[2][3]
• Alexander Dunbar, Knt.^[2][3]

Patrick Dunbar died 24 August 1289 at Whittingham, East Lothian, and was buried at Dunbar.^[2]
