Dear Mr Wright
Thank you for your recent email enquiring about the records for the Cunninghame Combination Poorhouse. The only volume still extant for the period you are interested in, relating to inmates is a Register of Poorhouse admissions and discharges, 1907 1915 [AA2/5/7].
This type of record doesnt really give much information but having looked I found several entries for Margaret being admitted, as follows:-
March 30th 1910, Margaret D Wright, 58, protestant, (nature of disease affected with on admission) Rheumatic, Discharged on 27th May 1910.
November 17th 1910, 58, housewife, debility, Discharged on 10th January 1911.
November 2nd 1911, 57??, Rheumatic, Discharged on 26th January, 1912.
November 29th 1912, 58, Rheumatic, no discharge date given.
April 26th 1912, 57, Debility, no discharge date given.
January 6th 1915, 59, Debility, no discharge date given.
From this information I looked at the poor relief records for Irvine Parish, specifically Irvine Parochial Board/Parish Council, General Register of Poor & Record of Applications (Selection), 1848 1930. [CO3/40/59].
I found an entry in this relating to Margaret, details of which I have attached to this email.
I hope that you will find the information to be useful in your continued search, please do not hesitate to contact us again should you require any further assistance. Good luck with your research.Yours
Marion Lynch
