E1-1: 5 July 1817 Land Deed Micajah Frost to Moses Dunkin and Mary Dunkin his wife, daughter, both Anderson Co. TN, $64, land on Poplar creek on the trace fork of So... Creek, a branch of Mountain Fork, including a 6 acre survey made 18 July 1814 and part of 25 acre survey said Micajah bought of Elijah Frost Sr., including the house where the said Dunkin now lives, crossing Clearer? Fork (no total acres stated) wit. John (X) Johnson, Isaac (X) Dunken. (FHL film 979,340)

In the War of 1812, Moses served as a private under Capt. James Tunnell commanded by Col. William Johnson in the Tennessee Militia Honorably discharged on May 1, 1815 at Knoxville, TN (per statement from Moses in pension application on March 6, 1871). On October 5, 1871, Moses was granted a pension (No. 5684) On April 5, 1878, Nancy Nolen Duncan applied for a widow's pension (Claim No. 17562 and Certificate No. 14971). Nancy received monthly until her death on October 30, 1904.[7]
