I just found a family geneology book from my mother's mother and it looks like the Duncan's could be the connection. CONT CONT My grandmother, Eliza (Allen) Delvas born 1897 died 1990. father Daniel Emmet Allen (1861- 1898) married Carrie Alice Lowe in 1885. Daniel's father William Riley Allen (1832-1895) in Illinois and mother Malinda Duncan (1835-1866). her mother Elizabeth Duncan (1801 North Carlolina - 1878 in Illinois) Father Absalom C Duncan Born in NC and died in 1849 in Illionois. Absalom had siblings Martha Duncan, Ephraim Duncan, William Duncan, Andrew Duncan, Nathan Duncan. CONT CONT I am not sure, but this could tie with your Duncan's from VA. Maybe you can figure it out.
