Noah Duncan was born on 9 Sep 1842 in Coshocton, Coshocton, Ohio, United States, son of John Duncan (1804–1883) and Elizabeth Ann Long (1808–1893).[1] He served with the 46th OH Infantry, Co I. He married Jane Elizabeth Vanaman Mar 6 1873. He tragically burned to death when his home was destroyed by fire Nov 18, 1916. He was buried at Louisburg Cemetery.

Noah (30) married Jane Elizabeth Vanaman (20) (born on 5 May 1852 in Millville NJ) on 6 Mar 1873 in Missouri.[5] [6]

In 1910, Noah (67) was living in West Dolan, Cass. [9]

Noah died on 18 Nov 1916 in West Line, Cass, aged 74. He was buried in Louisburg Cemetery, Louisburg, Miami County, Kansas.[10] [1]

Obituary

DIES IN FIRE; EX COSHOCTON MAN'S FATE Mrs B J Lower of Mill Creek township, received a telegram from West Line, Mo Tuesday morning informing her of the tragic death of her brother, Noah Duncan, age 75, who was burned to death when his home was destroyed by fire Saturday night. Details of the tragedy have not been learned by local relatives. Noah Duncan was born in Mill Creek township in 1831, and made his home in this county until the Civil War. Mr Duncan enlisted with the volunteers. At the close of the war Duncan was in Indiana and went from there to Missouri, where he has made his home. For many years he was a faithful member of the Baptist Church and a prosperous farmer of his neighborhood. Mr Duncan leaves a widow and six children and the following brothers and sisters; Jonas, of Coshocton; Tobias and Paul of Chicago; Joe and Jesse of Kansas; Mrs B L Lower, Mill Creek; Mrs Wilbert Weatherwax, San Diego, Cal; Three brothers and four sisters are dead. The funeral service was held Saturday.[citation needed]
