Mary married About 1786 - James Dennistoun of Golfhill, born in Campsie parish in 1752. In 1781 was a successful manufacturer in Glasgow. In conjunction with his brother Alexander, he established the firm of J. & A. Dennistoun, which became one of the greatest Glasgow mercantile houses.
