Biography

William was born about 1738 (calculated from aged 55 years). He was a son of Captain William Duncan and Naomi Bell. He passed away March 29, 1793, and was buried at Old Hill Graveyard, Londonderry, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.[1] See his memorial stone for support for this information.

Notes

Although New Hampshire became a separate colony in 1679, counties were not introduced until 1769. Rockingham County was identified in 1769 as one of five original counties for the Province of New Hampshire, 31 years before William's birth.
