COSHOCTON COUNTY NATIVE DIES IN WEST
Relatives here received word today of the death of Mrs. Albert Lessing, native of this county, which occurred Monday in a Western state. Mrs Lessing who would have been 66 years old next week, was enroute to Seattle with her husband, cause of death was not stated, but she had been a semi-invalid since suffering a light stroke several years ago. Grace Duncan was born near Keene on September 17, 1874, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Duncan. Following her graduation from the Passant Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago, she married Dr. Albert Lessing. They lived for a time in Chicago, later in Seattle and for the past few years in Mississippi. Surviving are the husband, two sons, Wayland and Wendell, both of Chicago, two sisters, Mrs. B P Porter, Coshocton and Mrs. J L Boyd, Keene and a brother Joe Duncan of Conesville. Another sister Mrs. Martha Whittemore died September 1 in Colorado. Funeral services for Mrs. Lessing are to be held in Chicago.- September 12 1940 Coshocton Tribune* obit has incorrect birthdate should be Nov 18, 1874.[1]
