Abigail Duncan was born about 1783 in Caswell, North Carolina, daughter of Elijah Duncan (~1757–1840) and Cate Cloe Cole (1755–1837).

Abbey (14) married John Davis (21) (born about 1776 in Virginia, United States) in 1798 in North Carolina. Their children were:
