Benajah Dunham was born in Piscataway, New Jersey, 13 Aug 1684, son of Edmund Dunham and Mary Bonham.[1][2] Benajah is a descendant of Mayflower passenger Edward Fuller.
He married at New Jersey, 21 Sept 1704 Dorothy Martin.[2] Dorothy was b. in Piscataway, 7 June 1686; daughter of John and Dorothy (____) Martin.[2]
Benajah was town clerk for fifteen years 1715-1730.[2]
He died 9 Aug 1742, in Piscataway.[2]
Nuncupative will. States that "on Monday last, being 9th of August, about five hours before his death," he gave to sons Benajah and Martin lands, etc., and they were to be kind to his wife. In presence Edmund Dunham, Ephraim Dunham, Phineas Martin, John Martin. Witnesses—Jonathan Martin, Azariah Dunham, Elisha Whitehead. Lib. C, p. 530.
