LaVerne G. Rayburn, age 89, passed away May 25, 2009. She was born June 6, 1919 in Oklahoma City, OK to Oscar and Lucinda Deliana Roe Dunkin. LaVerne has lived in OKC all her life. She was a Supervisor for Old Building 3000 at Tinker AFB for over 20 years, retiring in 1982. LaVerne was a member of Wilmont Place Baptist Church where she was a member of the senior choir, the Sonshiners.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Lloyd, 2 sons, Gale and Berry and a brother, Jack. She is survived by her sister, Thelma Bass and brother, Harold Dunkin, 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Wilmont Place Baptist Church with burial following at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
