  2. Nancy Elizabeth Ewing (1845-1901)
They were living on their farm in Deer Creek Twp., Cass County, Indiana in 1850, with Lydia Jane age 8, and Nancy-age 4. A Cassa Ewing age 30 was also in the home.[3]

Research Notes

The 1850 census to Sources, which is dated Aug 14 1850 in Deer Creek Township, Cass County, has her husband and 2 children. Her gravestone says she died Aug 21 1849, so something is wrong. Maybe she actually died Aug 1850 and date on gravestone is incorrect. Her husband died in 1851. Since his name is at the top of the gravestone, it probably wasn't done until after he died, so date is probably wrong. Linda Peterson and Helen Holt, Sep 11, 2021.
