William was engaged in Farming in Carrollton, Carroll County, Indiana. They were on their farm in Carrollton in 1850, where William was farming and she was taking care of the home and raising their children, Sara E, 4, and Julia A-6 months, with William's mother Elenor-76 in the home.[7] By 1860, Sarah was 12, Julian-10, and David M-8, Mary U-6, William J-4 and Margaret E. a year old had been born.[8][4] In 1870, Mary was busy taking care of of the home, Farm chores and 7 children.[9] In 1880 they had David-27, William-24, "Maggie"-21 and Carie W-8 (who was born by this time) in the home.[10]
She passed away on December 18, 1896 at the age of 69, in Carroll County, Indiana [11] and was buried beside her husband in the Beech Grove Cemetery in Sharon, Carroll County, Indiana.[1]

There were 2 William Quinn's in Indiana at the same time. The other William, b in Ohio, was married to Elmira / Almira in 1838, and lived in Noble, Indiana.
