He registered for the World War II draft on 16 Oct 1940 at Louisville, Kentucky [3] and enlisted as a private in the US Army Air Corps on 07 Nov 1942 at Patterson Field in Fairfield, Oho for service in World War II, showing himself as a civil engineer with four years of college. [4]
He married first on 07 Jun 1941 at Louisville, Kentucky to Elizabeth Woolfolk Woodson [5] and they had children: [6]

He married second to Nancy Belle Moss, passed away in 1985, [8][9] and was buried at Pisgah Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Woodford County, Kentucky. [10]
