James Dunlap Jr., of Pittsgrove, New Jersey "was the son of Captain James Dunlap Sr., of Penn's Neck [by his first wife, identity unknown]. The Dunlaps came from Delaware to Penn's Neck, and are supposed to be of Irish descent."[1]
James is named in his father's will of 1758[2].
James Jr. married Anne Hunter, applying for the marriage license January 24, 1746[3].
James passed away September 19, 1773, leaving a will written September 17, 1773 and proved October 4, 1773[4]. It names
Executors were his wife Ann and son-in-law Benjamin Vanmeter. Witnesses were David Dubois, John Miller, and Elias Craig.
