Biography
Julia lacked a sense of consistency when it came to reporting her age. The most likely time of birth is around 1837, consistent with her reported age in the 1860 Census, and with her presumed age category in the 1840 Census. The ages reported in the 1850 Census are suspect, while in later Census records she probably underreported her age in order to appear less older than her husband.
