Biography

Mary was born probably in 1822 or 1823 in Birmingham. Her birth record has not been found. In 1844 she married James Potter. In 1880 she and her husband immigrated to New Zealand with their son William Thomas. She died in 1891 in Christchurch.


Mary was born on 11 February 1821 in Langley Mill, Derbyshire, England. She was the daughter of Thomas Dunn and Hannah (Forrest) Dunn.

When Mary was 23 she married on 21 May 1844 in Parish Church, Handsworth, Staffordshire, England.
