The1871 Census shows Louisa and George living in Blackley, their daughter Emily, listed as 3 months old, was born there. The family address was 24 Charlestown Road, Blackley in the Parish of St.Peter. Blackley was a subdistrict of Manchester in the County of Lancaster.
