Obituary of Spouse: MR. FRANK HUNT.- The Albury Evening News reports:—We regret to record the death of Mr. Frank Hunt, a well-known and highly esteemed farmer and grazier, of Walwa, Upper Murray. Mr. Hunt had been in failing health for some time, but, being a stout hearted man, he did not give in to his illness until a few months ago. He went to Gormanton, where he was under medical treatment for a time, and then proceeded to Newcastle, where his sister resides, in the hope that the change to the seaside would improve his health. At Newcastle Mr. Hunt did not improve, and he proceeded to Sydney, where his condition grew worse, and he decided to return to Albury. He was in a very weak state on arrival here, and was removed to tho Albury District Hospital, where every attention and careful nursing were bestowed on him. However, he gradually sank and passed peacefully away shortly before 8. o'clock on Thursday night, in the presence of his wife and members of his family. The late Mr. Hunt was 56 years old, and a native of Yackandandah. He had passed practically tho whole of his life in the Upper Murray and adjacent districts. He was a man of very kindly disposition, and his many friends will sincerely regret to learn of his death. He leaves a family of five sons and two daughters. Brothers of the deceased are Messrs. Fred and Albert (Melbourne), and Alfred, who is in Westralia. Mrs. E. A. Jones, of Newcastle, is a sister. The late Mr. Walter Hunt, who died a couple of years ago, was another brother of the deceased. The funeral took place in Albury on Saturday. Our Walwa correspondent writes : — Mr. Hunt will be greatly missed in the district, as he took a keen interest in all public matters appertaining to the general advancement of the place. Not a small trait in his character was his large-heartedness to any one in need of assistance, thus endearing himself to all classes.
