James Dunn, 71, a member of an old Petersburg family and brother of the lated Dr. John Dunn of this city, died yesterday after a long illness at his home in Washington. The body will be taken to Petersburg for funeral services in Old Blandford Church tomorrow at 2 P.M. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a son of John G. Dunn and Mrs. Eliza Willcox Dunn of Petersburg and a graduate of the University of Virginia. He moved to Washington to live about a year and a half ago.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida Buffington Simonin Dunn; his brother, the Rev. Joseph B. Dunn, Dr. William W. Dunn and Thomas Dunn of this city, and a sister, Mrs. Kirkland Ruffin, Norfolk. [2]
