Bertha was born in 1898 the daughter of William Charles Dupree and Mary Jane Wells [1][2], she married Albert Currie [3] had son Albert Murrel Currie.[4] Bertha passed away in 1935 and is buried at the Rocky Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Smith County, Mississippi [5]
transcribed from her death certificate (found by Myrtis Bishop) has middle name spelled Louvine
On her son's death certificate has her middle name listed as Jane, but on 1920 census index listed as L and on find a grave memorial at Rocky Hill Baptist Church Louvene (Bertha Louvene Dupree Currie)
On a 1930 census it has listed a daughter named Myrtle believe this is a mistake her son (my father) went by name Murrel and he was same age as they had listed the daughter and My father told my mother that he never had any brothers or sisters.
Her father's name on census is Charley W or Charley R but his name is William Charles as on his tombstone , from other family members and researcher and on later census (although Bertha is not on this census we know it is same when compare family , time and place)[6]
