"Enrolled at...Kickapoo Training School, Horton, Kansas, as Iowa Indian to whom a trust patent was issued upon isr allotment No. 82 to following described tract of land located in Brown County...state of Kansas, to wit:

"3 & 4 Lots Sec. 6 T.l.S.R. 18 East Brown containing 62.46 acres a small frame house on the east fracoin about 40 acres under the plow land worth about $30.00 per acre."

"...John was buried in the Campbell grave yard his grave is marked by a tombstone, John was in the late war of the rebellion and was drawing a pention of $12.00 a month at the time of his death, John could read and write talk and understand the English language, a man of his word and paid his deabts."

George Nuzum gave John as married first to Lizzie Berchier, Sept 20 1865 at Falls City. Their children were Mary Dupuis Manning and Emma Dupuis Whitesell.

Nuzum gave John as marrying, second, Clara Campbell (born Barada), January of 1880, and staying with her until his death. They had no children.
