He was baptized on 26 Aug 1750 in Flatbush, Kings County, New York and his parents were Willemtje Roelofs (Terhune) and Joost Duryea. [1]

Jacob Duryea first married Sarah Jarvis.

Jacob Duryea was married secondly to Sarah Smith on 19 Oct 1774 in Long Island, New York by Rev. Joshua Hartt.

On 01 Aug 1781 his estate was in the probate court of New York, New York, USA. [2]
