Hi Lilburn dye was my great grandfather , his son Thomas Jefferson Dye was my grandfather , His son Euhlan was my father - school changed the spelling of my dad's name - was originally Ulan.
Lilburn Dye was not the son of Larkin Jesse Howell. Eufrasia McFarland already had two children from a previous husband by the surname of Dye. They appear on some census records as Howell, but later under their real name Dye. Larkin's son Jesse had a son named Lilburn Howell, not to be confused with Lilburn Dye.
