Biography

Edward was born in 1918. He was the son of George Dye and Julia Earnest and passed away in 1981.He "was a blacksmith and a welder. As a young man he trapped cougars and sold hides. During World War II, he served with the SeaBees in the South Pacific. After the war he worked as a welder for Earl LeChamps Company, then opened his own welding business in Hamilton, Montana. Later, he went to work for the Del Conner Lumber company in Darby, Montana and retired from that job. He played the guitar, had a great singing voice and wrote songs. His family remember his loving blue eyes and how kind he was with little children and older persons."[1]
