Biography

Nathaniel Dyer Jr. was born on December 28, 1772 in Cape Elizabeth, Cumberland, Maine. He was the son of Nathaniel Dyer and Hannah Dyer.

He married Abigale Higgins (1777-1871) on March 27, 1794 in Cape Elizabeth, Cumbelrand, Maine.[1] They had 10 children.

Nathaniel died at the age of 64 on May 4, 1837 in Falmouth, Cumberland, Maine, and was buried the in Bayview Cemetery, South Portland, Cumberland, Maine.

Note: DEATH: Quaker Records; Christian Mirror, 11 May, 1837 issue.
He was a Selectman in Cape Elizabeth 1810-13 and 1830-31.
Information on his family taken from Quaker Records and private Bible.
Family sampler by Emily Dyer Jordan in 1834 lists all 9 children, death Nathaniel and three children, Martha, Almira and Emily. Sampler is owned (1997) by Mrs Edith Jordan of Fairfield, Jefferson, Ia, picture of by Norman Jordan Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
