Biography

John Paine Dyer was born in 1765 in South Kingstown, Washington, Rhode Island, son of William H. Dyer (1749 - ~1781) and Sarah (Kenyon) Dyer (1746 - ).

John (~25) married Ann Tourgee (~13)(1776 - 1843) in 1790[1] in South Kingstown. Their children were:

  1. Christopher Dyer (~1791 - 1870)
  2. Sarah K (Dyer) Fiske (1800 - 1884)
  3. Abby (Dyer) Holland (1803 - 1898)
  4. John Paine Dyer Jr. (1806 - 1893).

John died on 19 Aug 1847 in South Kingstown aged ~82. He is buried in Wakefield Baptist Cemetery, Rhode Island[1] (SK 044 perhaps moved to SK043).

Note: John Paine & William Dyer were grandsons of William and Mary Paine Dyer AND they are PERHAPS the sons of Samuel and Hamman Potter.
