- Believe Abner was brother of William Dyer Jr and Anna Eames/Ames of Vinalhaven ME 26 Dec 1797 (VR p38)
- Abner Dyer is said to have come from Cape Cod to Vinalhaven then to Appleton ME, Hope ME. He is listed in the family history section of the Hst of Hope ME without family or dates. p 351.
