Bertha Elvina Halverson was born on 3 Jul 1893 in Marinette, Wisconsin, her father, Berthl "Bartel" John Halverson (1860–1949) and her mother, Caroline M Olson (1866–1939). She married Herbert B Walter on 26 Oct 1910 in Tacoma, Pierce, Washington and divorced about 1915. She then married Joseph Wesley Bell on 5 Sep 1917 in Seattle, King, Washington. She died on 20 Jun 1971 in Tacoma, Pierce, Washington.
