John was born some time before he was baptised on 7 August 1828 in the parish of Breage, Cornwall England.He was the son of Theophilus Eade and Jane Russell.^[1]

John Eade married Mary Jane Williams on 22 May 1853 at Constantine, Cornwall, England. ^[2]

In 1861 John is recorded as a married tin miner age 31 living with his wife and young family at Breage, Cornwall, England.^[3]

In 1871 John is recorded as a widowed 'Hir Dresser' living at Constantine, Cornwall, England with his son William 14, daughters Sophia 12 and Charity 6 and his widowed 60 year old mother-in-law Charity Williams.^[4]

In 1881 John is recorded as a widower, farmer at Constantine, Cornwall, England with son William age 24 and daughters Sophia 22 and Jane 16.^[5]
