Evelyn McCallister, 97, passed away Thursday, October 5 , 2017, in Jackson.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, October 9, 2017, in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

She was born October 10, 1919, in Polkville, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Garland Easterling and Elmina Jones Easterling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester McCallister, and siblings, Lela Huff, Eula McCully, Lola Alford, Clifton Easterling, Horace Easterling, Homer Easterling, Ward Easterling, and Gilbert Easterling.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Myrna and Charlie Gray; and several nieces and nephews.
