Biography

Martha Easterling was born about 1759. She was the daughter of Rev. Henry Easterling and his wife Elizabeth Ellen Bennett. Martha married a neighbor, Isham Peacock, just a the beginning of the Revolution. The date is unknown, but most likely took place in early 1776. Their daughter Sarah was born that year. Isham served three tours of duty during the war. Afterwards, he became a Primitive Baptist minister. They moved to Georgia, where Martha died by 1834.
