Biography

October 24, 1679 -- Zachary Eastman was born at Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony (now Massachusetts). "EASMAN "Zakerie, s. John and Mary, Oct. 24, 1679" at Salisbury, Essex, Massachusetts. (p 77)[1]

June 20, 1680 -- Zachary Eastman was baptized at Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony (a child of record at Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. [2]

Zachary/ Zachariah Eastman married three times: 1703 Martha Thorn; 1718 Phebe West; and 1724 Deborah Whitcher.

June 8, 1703 -- Zachary Eastman and Martha Thorn married at Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts. Eastman, Zachariah, and Martha Thorn of Ipswich, at Ipswich, June 8, 1703." (p 338)[1]"Zachariah [of Salisbury, int.], and Martha Thorn, at Chebacco, June 8, 1703. *Intention also recorded"[3]

Zachary Eastman was mentioned in his father's (John Eastman of Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts) will dated March 19, 1716 and proved on April 15, 1720. [4]

"Zechariah, and Deborah Whitcher [wid. int.], Sept. 24, 1724. N. CT. BK.*" (p 336)[1]

He had three children by his marriage to Martha Stone, and three (of whom two dies shortly after birth) by his marriage to Deborah (Pillsbury) Whittier.

Zachariah Eastman of Salisbury made his will on 23 Apr 1752. He mentions but does not name his “beloved wife.” He names his sons, Jeremiah, Jacob, and William; his daughters, Abigail French, Mehitable Brown, and Martha Quimby; and his daughter Martha’s two sons, Moses and Aaron Quimby. The will was proved on 10 Feb 1753.[6][7]
