William Eaton was the son of Benjamin Eaton and the grandson of Mayflower passenger Francis Eaton. He never married and had no children. He died while on a Canadian expedition against the French between July 1690 and 18 March 1690/1.

His nuncupative was verbally heard in July 1690 by Elkannah Cashman and his wife Martha who made oath to it on 18 March 1690/91 at Plymouth. He bequeathed his estate to his father and mother. His father Benjamin gave oath to his inventory on 18 March 1690/91.[1]
