Biography

John was born in 1826 in Cornwallis and died in 1861 at Boston MA. at age 35 years. He Married Josephine Collins Hamilton in 1849 and was buried at Chelsea, Suffolk, Mass. in 1861.

Notes about John: He was in business first in Kentville, Nova Scotia, and afterwards in Boston, Mass., where he was a member of the Ship Chandlery and Commission firm of J. Rufus Eaton & Company. He was a genial and generous man. His death was sudden and sad; he was drowned while rowing in Boston Harbor, 4th November 1861- his body was found and buried at Chelsea Garden Cemetery.
